We've been recognised for our pioneering Crisis House; the first, and still the only, one of its kind in Wales, offering an alternative to psychiatric hospital admission for people in acute mental health crisis.

The project has already made a real difference to those who've stayed at the house, and to their friends and family. Maintaining people's dignity by providing them with their own bedrooms, and offering some comfort and familiarity by delivering support in a homely environment within the community, is a world away from the traditional hospital experience and the stigma that surrounds in-patient admission. It's this difference, we believe, that's contributed to the excellent outcomes the project has achieved; nine out of ten people who've stayed at the house have been able to avoid a hospital admission and return home after a stay of just seven days.
